In the next phase, from 1st July, Vietnam Airlines plans to operate daily flights with the frequency of 7 flights per week, and aims to promote tourism and commercial exchange between Japan and localities in Central Vietnam.
According to Thanh nien News, Ms. Konuma Mizuki, a passenger from Japan said, this is the second time she has come to Da Nang. Before the pandemic outbreak, she travelled to Da Nang but did not have enough time to visit all the scenery as well as recreation spots in here, therefore, right after the reconnection of flight between Japan and Da Nang, she decided to spend 4 days and explore this city again.
Ms. Konuma Mizuki’s plan is to visit Ba Na Hills, Hoi An Ancient Town, Marble Mountain (Ngu Hanh Son),... and hopes to explore more about the Central of Vietnam.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism stated, the city considers Japan as one of its key tourist source markets and a stable growth market. By reconnecting the flight route from Narita (Japan), Japan's first locality coming to Da Nang, it is expected to make a positive contribution to attracting Japanese visitors back to Da Nang and vice versa in the near future.
In 2019, the total number of Japanese visitors to Da Nang reached 183,000 arrivals, nearly 200% growth compared to 2015. Since Vietnam resumed its international tourism (from March 2022), Da Nang has welcomed about 27,000 Japanese visitor arrivals.
