The World Travel Awards (WTA) was established in 1993, is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of industry excellence and held up as “Oscar of Travel industry”. WTA is organised annually to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries, including: Airlines, hotels, resorts, travel agencies, tourist attractions, etc.
2023 marks the 30th journey of establishment and development of this prestigious award. This year, Vietnam tourism is honoured to be nominated in many important categories including:

- Asia's Leading Heritage Destination 2023: Vietnam

In the last 5 years, Vietnam has been crowned 3 times as World's Leading Heritage Destination; 4 times as Asia’s Leading Destination; Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has been honoured 3 times as Asia's Leading Tourism Board and many other important award categories for Vietnam's tourism industry in the World Travel Awards system.
At WTA 2022, Vietnam tourism received 16 World’s Leading awards and 48 Asia’s Leading awards.
