Accordingly, the photo exhibition “World Heritage Sites of Vietnam and Laos” is expected to launch in Vientiane Capital. The exhibition will display 180 photos (in which, 160 photos of Vietnamese heritage sites, 20 photos of Lao heritage sites). This activity is considered as necessary to contribute to the enhancing of cultural and artistic exchanges and cooperation between the two countries. This will be the first exhibition on the world heritage sites of Vietnam and Laos.

The exhibition will contribute to introducing, promoting and propagating the world heritage sites of Vietnam to the Lao people and international visitors in Laos. At the same time, this is also an opportunity to introduce and promote the world heritage of Laos, thereby enhancing cooperation, cultural and artistic exchange between the two countries through photography activities.

Currently, the Department of Arts, Photography and Exhibition (Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) has gathered a full set of photos of Vietnam’s cultural and natural heritage sites that have been approved by The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) enrollment. This is a beautiful, precious and attractive collection of artistic photos, suitable for exhibitions and introductions at home and abroad to promote the image of the country and Vietnamese culture. In recent years, Laos has also paid great attention to preserving and promoting the value of the nation’s cultural and natural heritage with UNESCO-registered heritage sites. Within the framework of the exhibition, Vietnamese photographers are expected to have photo-compositing activities and professional exchanges with their Lao colleagues.
