(TITC) - In 2 days (5th and 6th April 2023), Lang Son Geopark Management Board associated with a group of UNESCO consultants and Vietnamese experts led by Dr. Guy Martini, UNESCO Senior consultant, Chairman of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Council, conducted a survey of a number of sites and relics in the districts of Bac Son, Huu Lung, Chi Lang, Cao Loc, Loc Binh and Lang Son City in Lang Son Province (North).
The programme was proceeded to survey additional tourist spots to add on 4 tourist sightseeing routes of Lang Son Geopark (including, route 1: Ha Noi - Huu Lung District - Lang Son City; route 2: Lang Son City - Cao Loc District - Van Quan District - Binh Gia District - Bac Son District; route 3: Bac Son District - Van Quan District - Chi Lang District - Lang Son City; route 4: Lang Son City - Cao Loc District - Loc Binh District.

Accordingly, the group conducted surveys on 4 sightseeing routes in the Geopark, such as: Khuoi Noi Relic, Vu Le Commune (Bac Son District); Dao ethnic minority village, Lan Chau Village, Huu Lien Commune (Huu Lung District); site of execution of construction of Lang Son Geopark Information Center at Bac Le Temple (Huu Lung District); Anise rest stop, Nhan Ly Commune (Chi Lang District); Chau Nam Temple, Chi Lang Town (Chi Lang District); Chau Muoi Temple, Hoa Binh Commune (Chi Lang District); Van Linh dry noodle village, Van Linh Commune (Chi Lang District), Tam Thanh Pagoda (Lang Son City)…

The team of experts surveyed, focused on learning and evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of these above locations when becoming tourist destinations, especially locations for car parks and signposts, tourist attractions information. Thereby, the team expects finding suitable solutions to form tourist routes connecting between potential tourist destinations in Lang Son Geopark and whole Lang Son Province.
