In the framework of the Festival, many activities and events took place to join hands introducing tourist destinations, products of localities as well as promoting tourism in general to domestic and international visitors.

On 6th April, Quang Binh Tourism Promotion Information Center, in collaboration with the Tourism Association, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park and tourism service businesses set up the booth with the message "An attractive and different natural destination", delivered useful information related to Quang Binh tourism season 2023 such as: tourism promotion programmes, discount packages, check-in experience giving gifts right at the booth…

On the same day, Lao Cai Provincial Department of Tourism associated with Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and relevant units to organise Tourism Promotion Conference of 8 expanded Northwest provinces. The event is organised to promote and introduce tourist destinations of 8 provinces of Phu Tho, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Hoa Binh, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Son La, Yen Bai with Ho Chi Minh City. The Programme is established and developed by “Agreement on association and cooperation in tourism development between Ho Chi Minh City and 8 expanded Northwest provinces in the period of 2021-2025”. In order to continue to promote and attract more visitors from the South, especially visitors from Ho Chi Minh City to the expanded Northwest provinces on the occasion of 30th April (Reunification Day) and 1st May (International Workers' Day), the summer tourism of 2023, the expanded Northwest provinces held the Festival “The Northwest Quintessence - Connecting Green Aspirations" with the theme "Live fully in every moment" associated with the 19th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2023. The event includes exciting activities such as: Exhibition space "Essence of the Northwest"; tourist photo exhibition "Northwest Moment"; art programme “The Northwest Quintessence - Live fully in every moment”…

On 8th April, Bac Kan Province and relevant provinces organised the Conference on Tourism Destination Promotion of 8 Northeast Provinces and Ho Chi Minh City in 2023.  Accordingly, the tourism development cooperation programme between Ho Chi Minh City and 8 provinces of the Northeast region (Bac Kan, Bac Giang, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Vinh Phuc and Quang Ninh) contributed to expand the tourist market from the southern provinces and vice versa, especially the tourist market from Ho Chi Minh City.

On this occasion, Quang Ninh Province announced the "Tourist route connecting Can Tho City to the Northeast provinces via Van Don International Airport (Quang Ninh)" to join hands developing tourism of Northeastern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.

During the 19th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2023, other highlight events included: Training and recruiting tourism industry in Ho Chi Minh City in 2023; Job Exchange in the tourism industry in 2023; art performances, such as: Pop, Acoustic, walk on stilts performance, pebble drawing, bag painting workshop, ao dai painting on paper, rice painting, intangible cultural performance; carnival map game; exchange and introduce about culture, tourist destinations between provinces, tourism businesses for visitors…
