VITM Ha Noi 2023 took place under the theme “Cultural Tourism” and attracted the participation of 51 provinces and cities, 15 countries and territories with 450 booths and 600 units.

The mart attracted more than 3,000 Vietnamese and international tourism businesses with more than 10,000 tours and promotional products sold. It is estimated that more than 60,000 businesses and visitors come to this event.

During the operation of VITM Ha Noi 2023, 18 tourism promotion events and activities took place.

The highlight of the event is Forum on Vietnam Cultural Tourism Development taking place on 14^th April, attracting the participation of representatives from state management agencies, businesses, associations, institutes, colleges, and experts in tourism sector.

Seminar on reducing plastic waste in tourism in Vietnam on 13th April, received much attention from organisations, businesses and tourists nationwide, aimed to change consumption habits and move towards eliminating single-use plastic products in tourism activities, contributing to environmental protection, and improving the attractiveness of Vietnam tourism.

On 12th April, the “Wonderful Indonesia – Sales Mission” event was organised in order to promote the revival of tourism of Vietnam and Indonesia, seize opportunities to connect the businesses from the two countries, to promote and share the potential of Indonesian tourism to the business community and Vietnamese people, contribute to further developing the long-standing partnership between Vietnam and Indonesia.

On 13th April, a Tourism promotion conference with the theme "One journey - Four localities - Many experiences" took place to promote the tourism of the provinces of Ninh Binh - Thanh Hoa - Nghe An - Ha Noi. Ninh Binh - Thanh Hoa - Nghe An - Ha Tinh are provinces with rich and diverse natural tourist resources. This region converges all types of tourism with many valuable historical and cultural relics, famous landscapes, beautiful natural scenes, friendly and hospitable people, and is a safe destination that attracts tourists from all over the world. At the Conference, representatives of 4 provinces presented new tourism products, typical events and promotion programmes in 2023, including the 5-day4-night tour linking 4 provinces Ninh Binh - Thanh Hoa - Nghe An - Ha Tinh with the theme "One journey - Four localities - Many experiences". In this journey, visitors will experience and explore Trang An, Bai Dinh, Mua Cave tourist area (Ninh Binh); Lam Kinh relic site, Anh Phat tourist area (Thanh Hoa); Cuong temple, Cua Lo, Sen (Lotus) village in Ho Chi Minh’s hometown (Nghe An); Ke Go lake, Thien Cam beach, Huong Tich pagoda (Ha Tinh)...

On the same day, the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center of Kien Giang Province and Kien Giang Tourism Association organised the Kien Giang tourism introduction connection meeting. At the meeting, units and businesses introduced tourism products and services that are being offered in Kien Giang Province, in which the highlights are Phu Quoc and Ha Tien. Tourism products such as luxury beach resorts, wildlife parks, shopping tours at pearl shops, and experiences such as Hon Thom Cable Car, Phu Quoc Night Market, Coral diving park, Safari, United Center,…

From 13th to 15th April, provinces of Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Binh Dinh, Lao Cai and Tra Vinh also organised conferences to promote and introduce the culture, destinations, products, potentials and strengths of the provincial tourism. Thai Nguyen has the advantage of a natural landscape with potential ecotourism areas, along with unique historical and cultural relics of the ethnic community. Same goes to Lang Son, the province is located in the Northeast region of Vietnam. Provincial tourism businesses introduced thematic tourism products, including: Hoi Que rest stop - a display point for typical products of the province, selling points of local specialties, OCOP products; mountain trekking tourism products in Yen Thinh commune (Huu Lung district); Eco-tourism site of Ban Khieng waterfall.

To celebrate 120 years of Sa Pa tourism, Lao Cai province will organise over 20 events and many interesting activities. And for Quang Ninh, the province brought to VITM Ha Noi 2023 the Quang Ninh tourism promotion booth with the theme "Quang Ninh, a tourist centre connecting with the region and the world". In the conference on promoting tourism of Binh Dinh and Ha Noi, many tourism events and products in 2023 are introduced, of which, Binh Dinh province has 16 events including: Opening programme of Binh Dinh tourism festival in 2023 "Quy Nhon - Sea paradise - brilliant colours”; Hot Air Balloon Festival 2023; The 1st "Tourism Gift Products" Festival in 2023; Art photo exhibition "Colourful Binh Dinh tourism"; National final of Miss World - Vietnam 2023 contest; Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh street festival in 2023; OCOP product exhibition and Binh Dinh traditional craft village 2023; Binh Dinh Culinary Competition; Festival of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ethnic Central…

Tra Vinh Province introduced many ecotourism products, cultural tourism, community tourism and new tourist routes with itineraries of full day, 2 days and 1 night, 3 days and 2 nights, including tourism routes: Community tourism route "Tra Vinh City - Khmer Culture and Tourism Village - Con Chim Island"; ecotourism route "Tra Vinh City - Khmer Culture and Tourism Village - Con Ho Island"; Tieu Can - Cau Ke cultural - ecological tourist route; Ba Dong beach tourism route; Tra Cu district cultural tourism route.

Other highlight events took place in the framework of VITM Ha Noi 2023 including: Seminar "Potential and development orientation of golf tourism in Ha Noi", the program to introduce Bac Giang – Moc Chau tourist route, art performances, etc.
