Mr. Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee said, responding to the Visit Vietnam Year 2023, Binh Dinh Province organises the Binh Dinh Tourism Festival 2023. This is one of the activities to promote both domestic and international tourism, contributing to the restoration and socio-economic development of Binh Dinh Province. The chain of tourism events throughout the year will be an important lever and opportunity for the tourism industry to accelerate and break through, thereby, making an important contribution to the rapid socio-economic recovery and effective, sustainable  development, promoting the image of peaceful and hospitable Binh Dinh people to international friends.

Giving his remarks at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Pham Van Thuy, Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) stressed, the festival is an important event proving the efforts to overcome difficulties, recover and develop the tourism industry in the country in general and Binh Dinh Province in particular, especially after the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic to promote domestic and international tourism, to recover and develop socio-economic.

According to VNAT’s Vice Chairman Pham Van Thuy, Binh Dinh possesses quite comprehensive tourism resources. Therefore, the province can attract many strategic investors, with the presence of a number of international tourism brands. In the future, Binh Dinh should put efforts to be identified on the tourist map of Vietnam and the world, focusing on creating unique and diverse tourism products.

At the Ceremony, delegates, local people and visitors enjoyed art performances under the theme “Quy Nhon - Beach paradise - Blaze of colours”. The performance consisted of 2 parts “The Colour of the Ocean” and “The Tango of the Waves”. Art performances introduced unique cultural values ​​with the characteristics of Binh Dinh, a land with a rich history and culture, several unique tangible and intangible heritage values ​​such as the Cham tower system, Boi - the art of singing, traditional martial arts and especially the art of Bai Choi Singing which recognised as UNESCO’s Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2017.
