(TITC) - Beside the attention on the travel recovery from the return of Chinese travellers, India outbound market has recorded a remarkable increase in any other market in the world.

Agoda recorded a 390% rise in Indian outbound travel searches for Vietnam from 2019, reported from CNBC Travel.
According to Agoda’s CEO, Omri Morgenshtern, Southeast Asian destinations remain popular among Indian travelers, in which Vietnam is within the top five destinations recently, affirming that the country is gaining much more attention from the Indian market than it ever was.
Before 2019, there were no direct flights from India to Vietnam, which makes Vietnam less attractive compared to other Southeast Asian neighbours. Vietnam is one of the most wanted destinations to Indians, which only takes a four-or five-hour flight out of most parts of the country in the ASEAN region, stated Vishal Suri, managing director of SOTC Travel.
Talk about Asian population's spending while traveling aboard, Indians travellers are also big spenders, especially in groups and with large families.
Most Indians like to stay in four- or five-star accommodations, and at branded hotels with names that they are familiar with and they prefer exploring proper restaurants to eating at fast food outlets, said SOTC’s Suri.
