Hue welcomes the first international flight from Taipei (Taiwan, China)

(TITC) -Recently, Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Tourism coordinated with relevant units to organise a Welcoming Ceremony for the inaugural flight from Taipei International Airport (Taiwan, China) to Terminal T2 – Phu Bai International Airport (Central Vietnam).

Accordingly, on 18th August 2023, the flight number VJ8693 carries 114 passengers from Taipei International Airport (Taiwan, China) to Terminal T2 – Phu Bai International Airport (Thua Thien Hue Province).

This is a direct flight operated by Hai Van Cat International Travel Joint Stock Company (HavaTravel) in collaboration with a Taiwanese partner and Vietjet Air, after the operation of Terminal T2 - Phu Bai International Airport.

Representatives of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Tourism, representatives of Phu Bai International Airport, Vietjet Air and Thua Thien Hue Provincial Tourism Association presented flowers and typical gifts of Hue to welcome first passengers of the flight. After arriving in Hue, the passengers will visit, learn and experience in the following localities: Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam in the itinerary of 5 days and 6 nights.

At Thua Thien Hue Province, the delegation will visit tourist attractions such as the Imperial Citadel, King Khai Dinh's tomb, King Minh Mang's tomb, Thien Mu pagoda...; experience cyclo cycling, cruise on the Perfume River and enjoy Hue cuisine.

Thua Thien Hue Province has offered preferential policies for travel agencies and tourists, such as 50% of ticket reduction to visit Hue relics, arranging Nha Nhac royal court music performances to welcome tourists at Ngo Mon Gate - Hue Imperial Citadel.

According to Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Tourism, the first international flight from Taipei International Airport (Taiwan, China) to Terminal T2 - Phu Bai International Airport is a great signal and expected to make a strong move to contribute to the recovery of the Taiwanese tourist market in particular, international tourist markets in general to Thua Thien Hue Province.

After this flight, HavaTravel, Taiwanese partner and Vietjet Air will additionally operate many flights bringing tourists from the Taiwanese market to Thua Thien Hue with a frequency of 3 flights/week, lasting from 18th August to the end of October 2023.
