12 groups with 90 artists from the Korean Cultural Exchange Association (KCEA), dance groups, Song Preservation Society, Traditional music ensemble, Choir, and 20 students of Duy Tan University (Da Nang) participated and performed. All wore traditional Korean costumes (hanbok) and Vietnamese ao dai.

On the 1km long road, the artists dressed colourful traditional costumes; sang traditional songs, played and performed musical instruments such as: Jang-gu, kkwaenggwari, Sogo, Buk... tradition of the land of kimchi.

This is one of the activities within the framework of the Vietnam - Korea Festival that will take place from 7th to 9th September 2023 in Da Nang.

The festival is organised by the Department of Foreign Affairs in coordination with relevant departments, agencies and the Korean Consulate General in Da Nang to respond to the love of Vietnamese - Korean culture of the people and tourists of Da Nang and Korea.

This is an important and meaningful cultural and foreign affairs event, marking more than 30 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea. At the same time, the festival also contributes to increasing understanding, promoting cooperation and deepening the friendly relationship between Da Nang and Korean localities through exchange activities in many fields.

Da Nang has established official friendship and cooperation relations with 5 localities of Korea including: Changwon, Daegu, Hwaseong, Seoul and Jeju. Cooperation programmes in fields such as: Tourism, training, staff exchange, cultural exchange; Share experiences in the fields of green transportation, smart cities…
