(TITC) - On 9th October 2023, the delegation of Hwaseong City Council (Korea) led by Ms. Kim Gyeong Hee - Chairman of the City Council had paid a visit to Hung King Temple Historical Relic Area and Hung Lo Ancient Village (Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province).

At Kinh Thien Palace on the top of Nghia Linh mountain, the delegation respectfully offered incense to commemorate the Hung Kings. At the same time, they expressed their joy at visiting Phu Tho Province - the land of origin of the Vietnamese people, and gaining a deeper understanding of the traditional cultural identity and glorious history of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people and the belief of worshipping Hung Kings.

After the incense offering ceremony, the delegation visited Hung Lo Ancient Village and enjoyed Xoan singing performances by singers of the Xoan Singing Club and folk singers of Hung Lo commune.
The programme is an opportunity for delegates to exchange, meet, and enhance understanding of history and culture between the two countries and people of Vietnam - Korea, between Phu Tho Province and Hwaseong City. From there, the close and friendly relationship of the people of the two countries in general and of the two provinces and cities in particular has been strengthened.
Both Xoan singing in Phu Tho Province and the Worship of Hung Kings in Phu Tho Province are recognised in the List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
