(TITC) - On 20th October 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City, took place in the framework of the “Glorifying Vietnamese Cuisine Culture” Festival, the Tourism Information Technology Center (TITC) under the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) and Maggi - Nestlé Vietnam received a Vietnam Record and awarded the Book of Records from the Vietnam Record Association for "The online map with the largest number of Vietnamese dishes contributed by the community".

Thereby, with the goal of preserving and promoting local culinary values, from July 2023, Maggi - Nestlé Vietnam and TITC (under VNAT) signed a cooperation agreement to implement the project "Variety of raw materials, cooking million Vietnamese dishes". Among them, an important content is the application of digital technology to develop an online map to store local food recipes. After the launch, the programme has attracted 9,422 recipes contributed by the community to this online map. This shows the attraction of the programme as well as the community's interest, support, and passion for cuisine.
By receiving the Book of Records for "The online map with the largest number of Vietnamese dishes contributed by the community", the positive results from the cooperation programme between TITC and Maggi - Nestlé Vietnam.
Mr. Hoang Quoc Hoa, TITC’s Director said, TITC always determined that promoting the unique values of Vietnamese cuisine is a common task of the entire tourism industry, requiring the cooperation and contribution of all parties to bring about the greatest possible spread. The cooperation between TITC and Maggi - Nestlé Vietnam via the project "Variety of raw materials, cooking million Vietnamese dishes" is an effort to contribute to promoting Vietnamese culinary culture. These activities hope to evoke and spread each person's passion for cooking, joy in life, and pride in Vietnamese cuisine. Thereby, promoting Vietnam's unique cuisine to tourists, helping them have wonderful experiences when coming to Vietnam.
Ms. Le Bui Thi Mai Uyen, Head of Food Industry Nestlé Vietnam stated, behind each dish is a unique cultural story of each region on the S-shaped strip of land. Vietnam's unique culture is woven from 63 provinces and cities, in which cuisine plays a role in conveying cultural beauty. Maggi aims to preserve the diversity of local cuisine, thereby contributing to the development of Vietnamese culinary culture. Maggi believes that through cooking, we can all make a positive difference not only in the kitchen but also in our communities and those around us, from sharing delicious, nutritious meals, to creating spiritual and material value from creative cooking ability.
The “Glorifying Vietnamese Cuisine Culture” Festival - Glory of the Kitchen Profession is organised to honour the culinary profession on International Chefs Day 20th October; At the same time, honouring generations of chefs, artisans, and elite chefs in the profession, encouraging chefs who love their profession and talented female chefs. The festival took place in 3 days, from 20 to 22 October at the Reunification Hall, No. 135 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
