Sichuan Airlines will operate the Chengdu - Cam Ranh route with a frequency of 1 round trip/day. Sichuan Airlines' first flight with 145 passengers landed at Cam Ranh International Airport at 5:30 p.m. on 29th November.

According to Cam Ranh International Airport, Sichuan Airlines is the third Chinese airline to re-operate flights from this country to Khanh Hoa. Previously, China Southern Airlines has operated the Guangzhou - Cam Ranh route with a frequency of 5 flights/week from October 2023; Ruili Airlines (China) has operated the direct flight Kunming - Cam Ranh with a frequency of 3 flights/week from the beginning of November 2023.

In addition, Vietjet Airlines (Vietnam) currently also operates charter flights connecting major Chinese cities with Khanh Hoa.

According to the leader of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, Sichuan Airlines reopening the Chengdu - Cam Ranh route will contribute to creating favourable conditions for Khanh Hoa tourism to attract more tourists in the coming time. On 30th November and 1st December, the fam trip group of travel companies in Chengdu will come to Khanh Hoa to inspect the province's tourism products, aiming to bring a large number of Chinese tourists to travel and spend vacation in Khanh Hoa.
