The event marked the development of the international flight network between the two countries. The Chengdu - Ha Noi route is operated by Sichuan Airlines with a frequency of 01 round-trip flight per day, operating Airbus A320/A321 aircraft, flight time from Chengdu to Ha Noi is about two hours and ten minutes.

According to a representative of Sichuan Airlines, Vietnam is considered a potential market. The airline hopes to serve more Chinese tourists coming to Vietnam and serve Vietnamese tourists visiting China.

This is the third international airline in 2023 to open a new regular flight route to Ha Noi (previously there were Starlux Airlines and Xiamen Airlines), affirming that the capital of Vietnam continues to be one of the most attractive destinations for international airlines. With the inauguration of the new route, Sichuan Airlines is one of six airlines with flights connecting Ha Noi to China.
