(TITC) - On 7th January 2024, Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Tourism coordinated with Chan May Port Joint Stock Company and Saigontourist Travel Service Company to organise the welcome ceremony to the first cruise ship and its passengers to Thua Thien Hue via sea routes in 2024.

Cruise ship CELEBRITY SOLSTICE carrying 2,700 passengers from England, France, America,... arrived at 8:00 a.m. and departed at 8:00 p.m on 7th January. A representative of Saigontourist Travel Service Company said, the company has received more than 1,000 tour bookings, to leave the port and visit tourist attractions and enjoy cuisine in Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam in one day.
Passengers are warmly welcomed with flowers and souvenirs of Hue specialties; Provincial People's Committee leaders gave special gifts to the Captain and sailors on the ship. In addition, passengers on the cruise ship also enjoyed joyful and bustling lion and dragon art performances to welcome the New Year 2024 prepared by the Department of Tourism.
