Speaking at the Meeting, VNAT's Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh highly appreciates the close cooperation of these organisations that aims to support ASEAN tourism in general and the recovery of Vietnamese tourism in particular.

VNAT’s Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh suggested that international organisations continue supporting ASEAN tourism, especially in the process of conducting a new ASEAN Tourism Strategic Plan post-2025; continuous technical assistance in the fields of capacity building, sustainable and inclusive development, share tourism researches and statistics.

Vietnam has also invited UNWTO, PATA and WTTC to consider organising more international conferences and events in ASEAN in general and in Vietnam in particular, under the theme of each destination’s priorities such as rural tourism, golf tourism, competitiveness enhancement,...

Also, he proposed US-ABC to continue engaging their members’ participation in ASEAN tourism development, especially exploring more projects and joint activities to promote the ASEAN tourism image.
