(TITC) - On the occasion of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to Romania, on 22nd January, in Bucharest Capital, Romania, H.E. Mr. Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and H.E. Ms. Raluca Turcan, Minister of Culture of Romania signed the "Cooperation programme between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Ministry of Culture of Romania in the field of culture". The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Romanian Prime Minister Ion-Marcel Ciolacu.

Right before the Signing Ceremony, at the meeting between the two Prime Ministers, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh shared that President Ho Chi Minh once said, "Culture lights the way for national advancement”. General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong also affirmed that "If culture exists, the nation will survive".
Accordingly, the Prime Minister affirmed that one of the measures to strengthen the long-term friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Romania is to develop a deep and sustainable culture between the two nations.
The cultural cooperation programme signed between the two Ministries on this occasion is the basis for the two sides to organise bilateral cooperation activities in fields of mutual interest such as culture, arts, cinema, libraries, heritage…
Following, the two Prime Ministers witnessed the handing over of documents between higher education institutions, including the "Cooperation Agreement between the Vietnam National Academy of Music and Bucharest University of Music".

Vietnam and Romania have signed a Cooperation Program in the field of culture, period 2016-2019 between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Ministry of Culture of Romania. On this basis, cultural exchange activities have prospered with the exchange of art troupes and participation in art festivals held in each country...
In particular, in May 2023, the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra - The famous symphony orchestra in Romania and also in Europe, under the direction of conductor Ciprian Marinescu, participated in performing at the international music festival "Lotus SoundFest 2023" in Vietnam.
The recently signed cultural and artistic cooperation documents between the two sides in the new period will continue to create a premise for the two sides to consolidate and strengthen cooperation in these fields.
