Mr. Pham Huy Binh, Chairman of Saigon Tourism Corporation (Saigontourist Group), Head of the Festival Organising Board said, this activity takes place to stimulate domestic tourism, diversify tourism products in Ho Chi Minh City and contribute to promoting Vietnamese culinary culture.

Currently, the festival is oriented to become an international event to attract tourists to visit and have fun in Ho Chi Minh City. Accordingly, this year's festival will introduce to people and tourists more than 400 typical regional dishes and drinks at more than 40 culinary stalls arranged into three areas: North, Central, and South. It is expected that the scale of the festival can serve over 12,000 festival goers at the same time and take place for 4 days, from 28th to 31st March at Van Thanh Tourist Area, Binh Thanh District.

"The festival will have many interactive activities and experience of the typical culinary culture of many different regions. Visitors can participate in voting for the most popular delicacies at the festival, learn to make folk cakes with artisans from different provinces and cities; enjoy traditional art performances in an interactive space with artists and many other attractive cultural and artistic activities...", said Mr. Pham Huy Binh.

This year's festival also arranges 7 traditional handicrafts, typically making vermicelli, various types of folk cakes, weaving bamboo, making conical hats, weaving sedge mats, making pottery... Festival goers will buy entrance tickets with attached coupons to use the service with a full ticket price of 200,000 VND/adult, and accompanying children will be free. The organisers also apply attractive incentives, 10% discount for customers who buy tickets before 17th - 26th March.

In the past 2 years, the Culinary and Culture Festival 2024 has attracted more than 80,000 visitors to visit, have fun... and was voted by the World Culinary Awards as "Asia's Best Culinary Festival 2022", "Asia's Best Culinary Festival 2023". In particular, for the first time, this festival represents a Vietnamese culinary festival to receive the award "World's Best Culinary Festival 2023" awarded in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in October 2023.
