At the meeting, Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh and Mr. Supasit Kocharoenyos, the Governor of Ubon Ratchathani Province in Thailand provided general information about the socio-economic situation and future development orientation of each locality.

Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh said, Da Nang City periodically organises the International East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Trade and Tourism Fair held in the city every August. This is an opportunity for local businesses on EWEC to introduce products and make trade connections. Mr. Le Trung Chinh proposed that the Provincial Governor encourage businesses to learn about the market and participate in fairs and exhibitions of each other.

There are currently many Thai tourists coming to Da Nang to travel by air and road. In 2023, Thailand ranked 3rd in the top 10 international visitor source markets to Da Nang. The city leader asked Mayor Supasit Kocharoenyos to coordinate with Da Nang to open direct flights between Thailand and Vietnam in order to create conditions for the two sides to increase exchange activities and develop the tourism sector.

The city is committed to creating a favourable, effective and safe investment environment for Thai investors in particular, and those from foreign countries in general to invest in Da Nang, emphasised Mr. Le Trung Chinh.

Regarding the suggestions from Da Nang leaders, Governor Supasit Kocharoenyos expressed his joy and high agreement, saying that such cooperation will promote the relationship between the two localities in the near future.

The Governor informed that Ubon Ratchathani Province has been ready to promote and mobilise Thai investors to inspect the investment environment and take advantage of the strengths and development potential in Da Nang.
