Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Vu A Bang, Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee said, Highland cultural space and display activities to introduce cultural and tourist products are prominent highlights within the framework of cultural activities of the Visit Vietnam Year - Dien Bien 2024 and Ban Flower Festival 2024. The highland cultural space will recreate the colourful cultural space and community activities; thereby contributing to preserving, honouring and promoting traditional cultural values; Foster the promotion work and promoting of potentials, strengths, cultural and tourist products, natural features, people, and traditional cultural values ​​of the ethnic people of Dien Bien Province. This is also an opportunity for localities, businesses, and cooperatives to introduce products, traditional crafts, destinations, and tourism products and services; OCOP products, agricultural products, traditional craft village products, local specialties…

At the Highland Cultural Space, Dien Bien Provincial Museum and districts, town and city will recreate the traditional cultural values ​​of typical ethnic groups of Dien Bien Province through models of local houses. At the same time, there will be performances of folk songs, folk dances and introduce unique culinary culture to tourists. The display and introduction of cultural and tourism products in the Ban Flower Festival 2024 has the coordinated participation of 23 provinces and cities across the country with over 90 booths, contributing to strengthening links and cooperation in construction, development as well as promotion of tourism products between localities.

Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Vu A Bang added, the highland cultural space is held at the centre of Battle of Dien Bien Phu (De Castries Bunker) and Display activities to introduce cultural and tourist products are held at the Dien Bien Phu Culture and Tourism Information Center. The two connected venues help visitors experience culinary culture, sports activities and traditional folk games; introducing and performing Art of Xoe Thai dance and Khen Art of the Mong people. At the Highland Cultural Space, Dien Bien Provincial Museum and districts, town and city will recreate the traditional cultural values ​​of typical ethnic groups of Dien Bien Province through models of local houses, along with performances of folk songs, folk dances and introduce unique culinary culture to tourists.

Activities take place from 16th to 18th March, promising to spread out rich and attractive experiences, bearing the typical beauty of nature, culture and history of Dien Bien - Northwest and some localities in the country.
