Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines will double flight frequency compared to the present, to 2 flights per day in the period from 6-30 March 2024. Flights VN1804 and VN1806 depart from Ha Noi at 13:05 and 14:05; Flights VN1805 and VN1807 depart from Dien Bien at 14:40 and 15:40.

The Visit Vietnam Year - Dien Bien 2024 themed “Glorious Dien Bien Phu - Timeless Experiences” associated with the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (7 May 1954 - 7 May 2024). 169 attractive programs and activities will take place throughout 2024, with highlights being the Opening Ceremony of the Visit Vietnam Year - Dien Bien 2024 and the Ban Flower Festival with the theme "Returning to Ban Flower region" on 16 March.

Besides unique festival activities, Dien Bien Province also attracts tourists by famous historical sites and colourful cultural paintings of 19 ethnic groups. This is also a land rich in potential for relaxation, health care, nature exploration... loved by domestic and international tourists.

Previously, in December 2023, Vietnam Airlines officially put the modern Airbus A321 aircraft into operation on the Ha Noi - Dien Bien route. The number of passengers flying between Ha Noi and Dien Bien has grown impressively.

With the increase of flights to Dien Bien, Vietnam Airlines affirms its role in accompanying the Government and localities in promoting the Visit Vietnam Year, becoming an effective bridge to bring tourists to explore the Northwest region, shortening time and distance as well as making the transportation and circulation of goods easier.
