At the meeting, Mr. Nakamoto Takashi, Chairman of the Hiroshima Prefectural Council, Japan said, after the working visit of the Vietnamese State leaders as well as the leaders of Khanh Hoa Province to Hiroshima Prefecture at the end of 2023, the cooperative relationship between Hiroshima and Khanh Hoa has made much progress, information about Khanh Hoa Province is receiving many attention from Hiroshima people and businesses. This is a necessary premise for the two sides to strongly promote economic, cultural and social cooperation…

Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said, there are many similarities between Khanh Hoa Province and Hiroshima Prefecture in terms of cultural identity and socio-economic development orientation. After a business trip at the end of 2023, a business in Hiroshima Prefecture came to invest in Khanh Hoa Province.

Currently, Japanese businesses are leading in foreign investment capital in Khanh Hoa Province. Typically, Van Phong 1 Thermal Power Plant, with an investment of more than USD 2.5 billion, has just come into operation. Japanese enterprises investing in the field of aquaculture, processing and export of seafood in Khanh Hoa Province have been precisely successful.

Khanh Hoa has the advantage of the sea and islands, developing tourism, environmentally friendly industry, and high-tech agriculture and fisheries. Therefore, Khanh Hoa Province proposed the Hiroshima Prefectural Council to support the signing of a cooperation memorandum between the Khanh Hoa provincial government and the Hiroshima prefectural government.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee proposed: "We also want Japanese and Hiroshima businesses to invest in the fields of health care for the elderly, children, public health services, and high technology. Probably in the near future airlines will be granted slots to fly to Cam Ranh International Airport. We really hope Hiroshima will support Khanh Hoa in training human resources, graduate students, and interns in Japan."
