Giving his opening remarks, Mr. Vo Ngoc Trinh, Vice Chairman of Da Lat City People's Committee, commented that this is an opportunity for members in Vietnam to exchange valuable information related to the tourism industry and raise issues of mutual concern to discuss and propose ideas to the TPO Secretariat.

“As an official member of the Tourism Promotion Organization (TPO) since 2009, over the past time, Da Lat has continuously tried to actively promote its membership role, making efforts to promote and introduce local tourism through accompanying the organisation, participating in the organisation's tourism and promotion activities", added Mr. Vo Ngoc Trinh.

Under the chairmanship of Mr. Woo KYoung Ha - General Secretary of TPO, the meeting took place with many presentations sharing tourism promotion experiences of members of the organisation both at Vietnam and abroad.

In addition, at the meeting, delegates also visited, interacted, and exchanged among delegates at the exhibition space to introduce tourism information and images, promote services, typical tourist attractions and typical OCOP products of Da Lat City.

TPO is known as a tourism promotion organisation for Asia-Pacific cities, established in 2002 with the role of promotion, information and communication between member cities. To date, this organisation has more than 130 members, coming from cities of many countries and territories around the world. Vietnam alone has 8 provinces and cities as members, including: Da Lat City (Lam Dong Province) along with Vung Tau City (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province), Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Bac Ninh and Long An Province.
