Mr. Pham Huy Binh, Chairman of Saigontourist Group, said in this programme on launching Vietnam destinations in the Chinese market, the group focuses on connecting and developing services and two-way tourism between Vietnam and China. "In particular, we exploit opportunities to connect and expand the segment of luxury travellers and MICE tourists in the billion-people market," stated Mr. Pham Huy Binh.

Mr. Dang Ngoc Hoa, Chairman of Vietnam Airlines, shared that the airline is operating flights from Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City to Chinese destinations with a total of 66 flights per week. During the 30-year journey connecting the two countries, Vietnam Airlines served nearly 12 million passengers and more than 166,000 tons of goods on flights.

The event marks a new development step in the comprehensive strategic partnership between Saigontourist Group and Vietnam Airlines, continuing successful cooperation activities recently implemented, typically such as Vietnam - US two-way tourism investment promotion programme in the US in 2022, Programme to promote Vietnam destinations in Japan in 2023, Co-participates in WTM London 2023 World Travel Mart, ITB Berlin 2024 International Travel Fair…

On 10th April, Saigontourist Group contacted partners and promoted the brand at the Legal Policy Forum to promote economic, investment and trade cooperation between Vietnam and China, organised by the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment in coordination with Shanghai International Trade Promotion Committee (China).

For decades, China has been an important international tourist source market for Vietnam tourism as well as Saigontourist Group. According to statistics, in the first 3 months of 2024, there were 890,000 Chinese tourist arrivals to Vietnam, an increase of 534.5% over the same period in 2023.
