(TITC) - The harmony blend of limestone mountains and the golden shade of ripe rice fields, historical and cultural relics or the breathtaking beauty of the magical cave system in Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex (Ninh Binh) have been shown off on Google Arts & Culture.
The Trang An's virtual exhibition on Google Arts & Culture has officially launched on 18th April 2024, created by the Trang An Landscape Complex Management Board with support from Google Arts & Culture and UNESCO World Heritage. The exhibition includes vivid, high-resolution photos posted on the Google Arts & Culture digital platform - known as a "virtual museum" that preserves and promotes the cultural and artistic quintessence of humanity.
Trang An Landscape Complex - World Cultural and Natural heritage
In 2014, Trang An Landscape Complex was the first mixed heritage site in Southeast Asia to be recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage with three protected areas: the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, the Trang An-Tam Coc-Bich Dong Scenic Landscape, and the Hoa Lu Special-Use Forest.
The virtual exhibition on the Google Arts & Culture platform gives visitors excellent perspectives of Trang An Landscape Complex - one of the most attractive destinations of Vietnam. In this land, visitors can witness the magnificent million-year limestone mountains, and the pristine caves containing archaeological evidence from ancient ages.
Or visitors can free their souls in the picturesque natural scenery of golden rice fields beside the gently winding Ngo Dong river, to fully capture the brilliant colourful picture: the yellow of ripe rice, the green of tropical rainforests, the grey of limestone cliffs and the blue of the sky.
Not only possessing magnificent natural landscapes, the system of historical and cultural relics in Hoa Lu ancient capital such as King Dinh Tien Hoang Temple, Vu Lam Palace, Bai Dinh Pagoda, Bich Dong Pagoda... are hotspots not to be missed when coming to Trang An.
Google Arts & Culture - "Virtual museum" of humanity's cultures and arts
Google Arts & Culture was released in 2011, is an online platform of high-resolution images and videos of artworks and cultural artefacts from cultural organisations throughout the world. The outstanding features of Google Arts & Culture is it utilises high-resolution image technology such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) that enable the viewers to experience arts and culture in a unique and interesting way.
Playing an important role in preserving and bringing cultural and artistic works closer to the public, Google Arts & Culture is considered a prestigious "virtual museum" in the world when it cooperates with over 2,000 museums across 80 countries with more than 100,000 art works (including architectural works, sculptures, paintings)…
Embracing those outstanding values, in January 2021, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism coordinated with Google and a number of Vietnamese provinces to launch the project "Google Arts and Culture - Wonders of Vietnam". This project introduced 35 online exhibitions including 1,369 beautiful, high-resolution photos about famous destinations, heritages and wonders of Vietnam.
In June 2022, Tourism Information Technology Center (under Vietnam National Administration of Tourism) decided to coordinate with Google to organise a programme to introduce Google Arts & Culture to a large number of tourism management departments, tourism promotion centres, destinations, heritage sites, museums, tourist attractions, and tourism training establishments. That was an opportunity for them to learn and apply Google Arts & Culture in promoting their unique cultural and historical values.
Recently, in September 2023, Google Arts & Culture launched the exhibition of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups, called “The Precious Heritage Museum and Art Gallery”. The exhibition introduced unique photos by French photographer Réhahn Croquevielle in his journey to discover the beauty of the country and people of Vietnam. The exhibition includes 200 photos divided into 8 different stories, featuring the daily lives of Dao, Bo Y, O Du, Phu La, La Hu, Pu Peo, Pa Then and Si La ethnic people in different colourful costumes, different lifestyles and customs, showing the diverse and rich culture of Vietnam./.
