Artists will tell emotional stories about a poetic and nostalgic Hoi An, promising to bring visitors unforgettable experiences.
In addition, Hoi An will introduce tourism and service information of the city, organise displays of lanterns and handicraft products to introduce culture, destinations, discovery and entertainment programmes, as well as traditional occupations and villages in Hoi An; contributing to introducing the image of the beautiful, talented and creative land of Hoi An; thereby attracting tourists to Hoi An.

This is one of the major events jointly organised by the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka on 27th and 28th April 2024 at Osaka Castle Park. The festival is expected to attract a large number of booths introducing culture, tourism-services, cuisine and visitors. The festival is not only attractive to the Vietnamese community living in Japan, but also receives the attention and response of a large number of Japanese people and tourists.
Hoi An is a place that preserves historical marks, relics, and cultural exchange with Japan since it was an international trading port at the end of the 16th century. In Hoi An, the Bridge-Pagoda relic (also called the Japanese Covered Bridge) is said to be a symbol of Hoi An and also has a deep impression of the Japanese people and is closely connected to this day.
Every year, Hoi An organises the Hoi An - Japan Cultural Exchange programme with the participation of Japanese localities, organisations and individuals. In 2014, the 12th event was held in Sakai City and 2024 marks the 20th anniversary of this special event.
