In the Roadshow framework, Ho Chi Minh City also held Ao Dai Fashion Show, cultural and artistic exchange, and traditional musical instruments. The event received the participation of more than 25 booths introducing Viet Nam - Ho Chi Minh new tourist destinations, products and services with attractive deals and air tickets.

Speaking at the Roadshow, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai shared, Roadshow Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City tourism in Australia is the city's first and largest tourism and culture promotion event in 2024. It is even more special when the event is held in the context that Vietnam - Australia relations have just been upgraded to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership since March 2024.

"The Roadshow is not simply the largest culture and tourism promotion activity of Ho Chi Minh City in Australia in 2024, but also represents the wishes of the Ho Chi Minh City government and people in leveraging the cooperative relationship with Australia, including the state of New South Wales, into a new stage of development," stressed Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai.

Data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics shows that Vietnam has appeared in the top 10 destinations for people in this country after the first 9 months of 2023. A report by the online flight booking platform Skyscanner in early November 2023 showed that Ho Chi Minh City is in the top 10 most sought-after destinations for Australian tourists, with a growth rate of 246% in the past year. Skyscanner also forecasts that Ho Chi Minh City will be one of the top destinations for Australian tourists by 2024.
