(TITC) -Recently, in Copenhagen, Denmark, the Embassy of Vietnam in Denmark in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) of Vietnam to organise the 79th Anniversary of National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (2nd September 1945 - 2024).
Attending the anniversary were MOCST’s Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong; Vietnamese Ambassador to Denmark Luong Thanh Nghi; Danish Deputy Foreign Minister Lina Hansen; Danish Deputy Culture Minister Torsen Andersen and guests, delegates representing ministries, branches, agencies, associations, businesses of Denmark, Ambassadors, Heads of representative agencies of countries and representatives of the Vietnamese community living and working in Denmark.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Luong Thanh Nghi affirmed the historical significance of National Day 2nd September. Over the past 79 years, the Vietnamese people have united to overcome many difficulties and challenges, fought for national independence and unification, and after nearly 40 years of implementing the Doi Moi process, Vietnam has become one of the 40 largest economies in the world.
Regarding bilateral relations, Ambassador Luong Thanh Nghi reviewed the major features of the two countries' relations, especially the rapid developments since the establishment of the Comprehensive Partnership in 2013 and most recently the elevation to the Green Strategic Partnership in 2023. The two sides actively exchanged delegations at all levels, effectively carried out strategic cooperation in the fields of energy, environment, agriculture, health, education-training, statistics and bilateral cooperation in fields such as culture, science, people-to-people exchange, etc.
Trade and investment between the two countries have developed strongly, especially in the fields of green transformation, sustainable development, and high-quality projects.

Ambassador Luong Thanh Nghi emphasised: "The upgrade to Green Strategic Partnership opens a new chapter in bilateral relations, demonstrating the vision, determination and commitment of the two countries to the green transition, sustainable development and responsibility towards future generations".
The Ambassador also conveyed the message that Vietnam will closely cooperate with Denmark and member countries to successfully organise the Partnership for Green Growth and the Global Goals (P4G) 2030 Summit in Vietnam in April 2025.
MOCST’s Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong stressed, cultural cooperation between Vietnam and Denmark is a bright spot in bilateral relations, highly appreciating the valuable support of the Danish side in the process of building and implementing national strategies on cultural development in general and creative cultural industries in particular, contributing to promoting Vietnam's efforts in putting creative culture at the heart of sustainable development.

"Vietnamese music lovers have been welcomed and enjoyed performances by Danish artists at many music events in Vietnam, most recently the band Moi Caprice and singer Lucas Graham performed on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Denmark, within the framework of the state visit of the King and Queen of Denmark to Vietnam.
Today, in the capital city of Copenhagen, Denmark, artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music together with Danish artists bring special, highly anticipated concert performances to the audience. Among the Vietnamese artists performing today, some have studied and trained in Denmark, and Denmark has become their family, their second home", said MOCST’s Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong.
MOCST’s Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong noted, although Vietnam and Denmark are geographically far apart, culture and art are always strong bonds and always have their own ways to bring the two countries closer together.
"I believe that after leaving the auditorium, the audience will feel Vietnamese culture, be inspired and love our beautiful country Vietnam more", shared MOCST’s Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong.

Previously, delegates cut the ribbon to open the "Colors of Vietnamese Culture" Exhibition introducing Vietnamese culture, life and people through art images and traditional handicraft products, contributing to further strengthening the friendly relations in general and cultural and artistic cooperation between the two countries in particular.
