The Costa Serena cruise ship departed from Hong Kong (China) and carried nearly 3,500 tourists, mainly from Hong Kong (China) and more than 1,000 crew members, arrived at Ha Long International Port at 8:00 a.m. this morning.
During the one day stay in Ha Long, the group will be divided into many groups to visit Ha Long Bay and the city.
The Costa Serena cruise ship has docked in Vietnam many times, but this is the first time it has visited Ha Long. Before COVID-19, the ship regularly took international tourists to tourist destinations, including Phu Quoc.
Post pandemic, the cruise ship has returned to Vietnam at least twice in 2023. In May 2023, the ship brought 2,600 international tourists to visit the pearl island of Phu Quoc on a 5-day journey from Thailand, through Cambodia and then to Vietnam. In February 2024, the ship once again docked in Phu Quoc, carrying more than 1,000 tourists and crew.
Costa Serena is one of the largest cruise ships of Costa Cruises (Italy). It is famous for itineraries in the Asian region, especially Southeast Asia. With a length of up to 290.2m and a width of 35.5m, the ship has a huge capacity. The cruise provides many high-class amenities such as a swimming pool, luxury restaurant, water park, gym, and entertainment areas for children and adults.
Not only stopping at resort services, the ship also has special entertainment programs with a large theatre and many performing arts activities from professional artists.
