(TITC) - On 30 September 2024, VNAT’s Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh had a working session with leaders of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province on preparing to organize 1st UN Tourism Conference on Tourism for Rural Development in Quang Nam.
According to information at the meeting, in order to enhance Vietnam tourism promotion and foster rural tourism development – an potential tourism type of Vietnam, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam will cooperate with UN Tourism, Quang Nam Province and related departments to host this UN Tourism conference.
The conference will take place from 9 to 11 December 2024, in Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province, with main activities including: UN Tourism's Conference on Tourism for rural development; 2nd Best Tourism Village by UN Tourism Annual Network Meeting; Tour programs in Quang Nam province; Organizing space to introduce culture - tourism.
300 delegates will attend the conference, including international delegates who are leaders and staff of UN Tourism, ministries of tourism, national tourism agencies of UN Tourism member countries, villages in the UN Tourism Best Tourism Villages network, international organizations, tourism experts...
At the meeting, leaders of the VNAT and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province discussed and agreed on the preparation, logistics, and assignment of responsibilities between the two sides in organizing the conference.
