(TITC) - As artificial intelligence (AI) reshapes the modern world, global tourism is entering a new era of transformation. AI enables travellers to personalize their journeys, explore cultural heritage through virtual reality, and experience sacred destinations in digital spaces. At the same time, technology is empowering nations to preserve their cultural and natural heritage, manage sustainable tourism, and connect travellers worldwide.
Throughout human history, people have sought sacred spaces: mountains, rivers, ancient cities, forests, and temples, that touch the deepest layers of the soul. These are places where collective memories are preserved, where reflection is inspired, and where humans reconnect with nature, the spiritual world, and themselves.
In this context, linking Vietnam’s spiritual, cultural, and natural destinations with the world not only opens opportunities for international cooperation but also helps shape a humanistic tourism model in the AI era, where technology serves humanity and deepens spiritual values.
The Boston Global Forum (BGF), through its AI World Society (AIWS) initiative, has developed a human-centered model for the AI age - one in which humans are not passive users of technology but moral leaders guiding AI with compassion, intellect, and empathy.

A key initiative of AIWS is to connect the world’s sacred and cultural landmarks into a transnational network, a spiritual pillar for future society.
As part of this initiative, BGF aims to link symbolic destinations such as Varanasi in India; Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay, Nha Trang, Hoi An, and Da Lat; and America’s most iconic national parks, including the Grand Canyon, Zion, Acadia, Yellowstone, and Boston, a city renowned for its intellectual and cultural heritage.
Nha Trang and Boston: Symbols of East-West Harmony, Intelligence, and Spirituality
In May 2024, during a special event at Harvard University, BGF Co-founder Governor Michael Dukakis presented Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh, Party Secretary of Khanh Hoa Province at that time, with a symbolic photograph depicting Harvard’s Baker Library beside Hon Chong Rocks in Nha Trang.
This image embodies the friendship and cultural connection between Nha Trang and Boston - two cities separated by oceans yet united in spirit: lovers of nature, seekers of wisdom, and advocates for lasting peace.
More than a gesture, the photograph serves as a symbolic key, opening new cultural and spiritual bonds between Vietnam and the United States in the AI era, through film, education, and shared human values.
AIWS and the Book Celebrating 30 Years of Vietnam - U.S Partnership
To mark the 30th anniversary of Vietnam-U.S relationship normalization (1995-2025), BGF released the book “AI World Society - 30 Years of the U.S -Vietnam Partnership: From Nha Trang to Boston (1995-2025)”, co-authored by Professor Thomas E. Patterson (Harvard University) and Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, BGF’s CEO and Co-Chair, with a foreword by Governor Michael S. Dukakis.
The book highlights the AI World Society initiative, which envisions a humane, safe, and enlightened civilization in the AI age, where technology evolves alongside knowledge, dialogue, and the shared spiritual values of great cultures.
From Sacredness to Innovation: A Path Toward Harmonious Development
Landmarks such as Varanasi (India), Ha Long - Nha Trang - Da Lat - Hoi An (Vietnam), and Grand Canyon - Yellowstone - Zion - Acadia - Boston (United States) are envisioned to transcend their roles as tourist destinations and become spiritual convergence points on the AIWS map.
With the power of AI - its ability to digitize, analyze, and create immersive connections - these sacred values will reach audiences worldwide, especially younger generations. Visitors will be able to: Join a sacred ritual in Varanasi; Watch the sunrise over Po Nagar Towers in Nha Trang; Hear music resonate through Yellowstone National Park; Or experience a soul-stirring lecture at Harvard University.
Through meaningful initiatives, such as the symbolic Nha Trang-Boston photo, the 30-year Vietnam-U.S partnership book, and the AIWS network of sacred landmarks, the Boston Global Forum is charting a new path: A path toward an AI World Society with soul, memory, and spiritual depth, where technology serves compassion, enlightenment, and lasting peace.
