(TITC) - On March 30, 2026, Fairmont Hanoi -  a luxury property under Accor - officially opened its doors, marking the first presence of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Viet Nam.

At the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh, highlighted the country’s growing hospitality sector, which now includes more than 40,500 accommodation establishments with over 801,000 rooms, including 299 five-star hotels. He described the launch of Fairmont Hanoi as a significant milestone, underscoring Viet Nam’s strong tourism recovery and its rising profile as a regional and global destination.

Blending heritage with contemporary design

Situated in Hoan Kiem, the historic heart of Ha Noi, Fairmont Hanoi reflects a seamless fusion of cultural heritage and modern design. Inspired by the dynamic interplay between the city and the Red River, the hotel features a layered architectural concept that maximizes natural light, while interiors combine contemporary elegance with traditional Vietnamese elements.

The property offers 241 rooms, including 38 Fairmont Gold rooms, 12 suites, and a Presidential Suite, all designed in a classic style with views of the Old Quarter, city center, or landscaped gardens - catering to the premium segment.

Dining is a key highlight, with eight restaurants, bars, and lounges. Signature venues include Tran Dynasty, led by renowned chef Luke Nguyen, showcasing modern Vietnamese cuisine, alongside international concepts such as Hiryu and Bacco, curated by chef Nicolas Isnard.

The hotel also features the Cirua Spa, Fitness & Wellness Club, spanning approximately 3,500 square meters, offering a comprehensive range of wellness experiences from hydrotherapy to specialized treatments.

More than a luxury hotel, Fairmont Hanoi is positioned as an experiential destination, where traditional values are reinterpreted through a contemporary lens to create a distinctive sense of place.

Boosting MICE and luxury tourism

Fairmont Hanoi is set to become a new hub for MICE and high-end travel in the capital. The hotel offers over 4,000 square meters of event space, including a 1,100-square-meter pillarless grand ballroom and a range of naturally lit meeting rooms, designed to accommodate large-scale international events.

With its state-of-the-art facilities and central location, the property is expected to strengthen Viet Nam’s competitiveness in the MICE and luxury segments, contributing to the continued growth of the tourism industry.

With its modern facilities and large-scale event capabilities, Fairmont Hanoi is well-positioned to host international events.

“This will significantly enhance Viet Nam’s competitiveness, particularly in the MICE and luxury tourism segments”, Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh confirmed.

Fairmont Hanoi marks the debut of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Viet Nam, setting new benchmarks for premium hospitality rooted in local identity.

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is a global luxury hospitality brand with a portfolio of 96 hotels worldwide. Since 1907, Fairmont has developed a collection of landmark properties deeply connected to the history and culture of their destinations, including The Plaza, The Savoy, Fairmont San Francisco, Fairmont Banff Springs, Fairmont Doha, and Fairmont The Palm.

Fairmont properties are widely regarded as social hubs within their destinations - spaces where people, culture, and ideas converge. The brand places strong emphasis on vibrant communal areas, locally inspired culinary experiences, and distinctive bars and lounges, while maintaining a firm commitment to sustainability and responsible tourism.
